The New Digital Planning Pack

As well as selling paper map products, Ordnance Survey Ireland also licenses the use of its data through the National Map Centre for a wide range of computer based applications such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Digital data carries additional capabilities such as being linked to other information databases, providing a powerful marketing and decision-making tool in business, professional and educational sectors.

The Digital Planning Pack is available in 1:1000 (urban) or 1:2500 (rural) scale, to an A4 and A3 extent, and supplied in either DWG or DXF format as a vector product, and TIFF format as a raster product. An historical 6” site location map is included with each Digital Planning Pack as a TIFF image, along with all of the relevant technical information required to submit your map and drawings for a planning application.

There is also the option to add on a copyright licence* for each Digital Planning Pack, allowing you to produce the necessary copies for your planning application.
